Ceiling fans. Practical, but not always pretty. The one in our master died during the insane storm the other night that dumped 16 inches of rain on Houston in 24 hours. Power being knocked off over and over again must have fried it. By the way, we are dry at our house. So many surrounding us aren’t. Please keep those families in your prayers.
Since we were going to have to replace ours, I thought I might go a different route this time around. In my search for a non-ugly ceiling fan with a light (which is much harder than it should be) I ended up finding a few that looked pretty darn good! I even threw in one without a light because a) it’s gorgeous, and b) not everyone needs the extra light in their space. The best part of this round up is that a number of them are under $250.

Isn't it so exciting to actually be excited about a ceiling fan?!! I'm eager to see what fans you're using. When we realized ours had died I let out a very dramatic "nooooooooooooo!!!" knowing I was going to have to replace it. I'd rather have bamboo shoots shoved under my finger nails than have to switch out another ceiling fan. It's the extra wiring for the remote control part that I end up messing up every single time.
I was just sourcing fans for a client and waffle on whether to go with a statement piece or a white one that would disappear into the ceiling. But these options are so pretty!! Can't wait to see what you chose because everything you do is magic.

I know! I was pleasantly suprised when I started looking! I could have included some really hot looking ones, but of course, those are ridiculously expensive.
