stupid mirrors

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago in this post that I was going to be on the hunt for a set of three round mirrors for a narrow wall in my living room.  My mom texted me this picture from Tuesday Mornings.
I thought, “YES.  Get your rear in the car and get those puppies!”  The large one was way to big for my wall so after hitting up a couple different stores I ended up with two small and one medium.  I ran into the house with them and threw them up on the wall only to be super disappointed.  They stunk on my wall.
I texted my mom and a friend this picture and they confirmed it, just in a much nicer way 😉
They’re just to clunky on that little wall.
Which means I’m back to square one.  Yuck.
I still can’t get these Ballard mirrors out of my head.

This is that mock up I did earlier.  Wouldn’t they be so good?!  As is always my luck, they’re not available anymore.
I found these in an image search and got super excited… until I saw the price.  Stupid mirrors.  Why do you have to be so expensive???

I’ve got a set of three plain mirrors that I picked up a while back for next to nothing at Homegoods.  Looks like I’ll be using those and going the DIY route.  While I love a good DIY this one has me a little intimidated.  I’ve never been good with a jigsaw.

I can't wait to see what you do with the plain mirrors, and know it will be good!! The good thing about Home Goods is they get new things in so often, that you may find just the right thing next week!

I love your coffee table & side table… where are they from? Good luck with the mirrors!
    Thanks!

Thanks Pam! The coffee table is from Restoration Hardware, the large round side table is from TJMaxx and the small accordion side table is from Urban Outfitters.

I love the contrast with the wood mirrors on your walls. Mind sharing where you got your grey chairs? I'm in the market for some.

I've seen those and thought they would be great too! I wonder about the dimensions though. They only give one measurement and it's massive! Makes me wonder if it's the size of the large mirror or the shipping dimensions. I need to check on it. Thank you!

Could you find three wooden picture frames and mount the mirrors in them? that way you don't have to cut out the wood….you might just have to get a glass cutter to make the mirrors fit the frames?

Stupid mirrors!! I HATE when that happens. The right ones will come. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
