It has been several years since I have changed the rug out in our living room. Rare in the blogging world. But I found a stunner with the Amber Lewis x Loloi Rocky Rug. This is a brand new collection from the latest and third collaboration between the California interior designer and rug design company. I knew it would be right at home in our living room.
Material
This Moroccan inspired wool rug is a GoodWeave Certified rug meaning it was ethically produced and supports the weavers communities where it was made in India. I love a wool rug because the fibers are naturally stain resistant. Very important in our home with two kids and a large dog.
Color
I have the Rocky ROC-03 in Natural Fog. The variation in colors from Ivory, tan, and gray come from natural, undyed wool. It’s the perfect neutral background for a number of different styles.
My Thoughts on Evolving Style
When I look back at photos from my living room when we first moved in about 10 years ago to where it is now I smile. I smile for a number of reasons. I smile because I’m happy with the feeling our room has right now. It’s a reflection of the relaxed style I have found I love being surround by. I smile because it took time. Time to not only find my style, but to get the look I was after. In a world where dramatic makeovers rule, I know that for me it’s the little changes here, little changes there, that make the most sense for our family. Had I leaned head first into every changing style I would have wasted a lot of time, energy, and money. Like most things, don’t rush it and enjoy the process.

NewestHi! I’m new to your blog and found it by googling pottery barn York sofa reviews. Wondering if you still love it? I’m 99% sure I’m going to order 2 today with the bench cushion. Only thing I’m worried about is the bench cushion looking like crap in a short time😣. I actually had my 2 Pearce sofas picked up yesterday because they were pilling terribly after only a few months. Ultimately, we just want something comfortable and looks nice because it’s in our main living space.
Hi Paula! That was my concern about going with a bench cushion, especially since one side of the cushion gets more use than the other. But, I have been pleasantly surprised and haven’t had any issues with it wearing unevenly or the fabric being loose and wrinkly. We love it!
I’m really loving this color block rug. Look so soft too. Can’t wait to see it in person. The room is so inviting.
I just love it and it feels so great underfoot!
I love your wall color with the curtains. What color is the paint?
Hi Jessy! The paint is PPG Paints Gray Palomino.
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog, it’s been very helpful and inspiring. I checked around but couldn’t exactly find more information about it but, can you share it what’s the paint color you used for your interior walls? My floors are the same color as yours and this color just looks so good on the walls as it doesn’t seem to have very warm/yellowish undertones but not cold either. Thank you!
Hi Onice! I feel the same way about this paint not being too warm or cool. It’s PPG Paints Gray Palomino.
