That’s right peeps.  I pulled up my big girl panties and went with the stripe even though I thought it might not work.  As much as I love the stripe, I actually think it’s the double welting that’s my favorite part.  It hides all those nasty staples so perfectly!  If you are in need of a good double welting tutorial, check out Centsational Girl’s tutorial.  It’s good stuff.

I still don’t plan on using it at the foot of the bed in this house since there is just not enough room.  While it was sitting there for a couple of days waiting for me to snap pictures, I can’t tell you how many times Mike ran into it and then threatened to toss it to the curb.  Irritating since I walked around a monster BBQ smoker that hung out in my kitchen for a whole week until he decided to put it together and take it outside, but whatevs 😉
 
If we get into the new place and it still doesn’t feel right at the foot of the bed, it should be easy to find it a home now that it’s in my fav black and white combo and should easily fit into the other décor.
 
Nice to have another to-do knocked out before we get moved.
 
And the good news is, my mom approves.  I always worry about that when I get a piece of furniture passed down to me.  Even if I get the green light I’m all, “crap…. I hope she doesn’t think I’ve ruined it.”  Do you guys ever do that?
