dragging out the christmas stuff

October 23, 2012

Dude…

5 more weeks until my due date.  I can’t. Do it. Anymore.

Nursery?  Still not done.

Basement bath?  Still not done.

Izzy’s Halloween costume?  Still not done.

And, if I don’t get Christmas decorations up this week or next, it will NEVER happen this year.  Ugh.  So far, all I have the energy for is to just stare at Pinterest for Christmas decor inspiration.  So, that’s what you’re getting today.  It just might be what I need to get me motivated.

Yep, my mind is definitely feeling motivated.  Body… well, maybe tomorrow 😉

We’re suppose to have a couple of days this week of temps in the mid 80’s.  I can’t believe I’m already thinking Christmas.

What’s the earliest you’ve ever put out your Christmas decor?

Oh my! Reading this brought back so many memories! My children[6] are all grown now but I had one son that was born on Jan. 11. A sweet friend came to my home the beginning of Dec and put up all my decorations and even made cookies for my freezer so all I had to do was decorate them with my other little ones. I bet you have a friend that would be happy to help. Good luck!

The Emily Ruddo and Country Living are my two faves.
Oh yeah and, Buwahahahahahahaha. Too funny.
I say don't stress too much about a deadline. Do a little here and a little there and the rest can be done once the little critter is born. No really, it's amazing what you can accomplish when your delirious from lack of sleep. :o)

Awesome images! I love how non-intrusive and simple the decor is in them. Just do a minimum of stuff this year – you have a good reason! I don't even like to do it that much and I have no kids and I'm not preggers… so yeah, I think you can get away with less. Almost there!
