Thank you so much for your comments on my Fall Home Tour!  Wasn’t that such a great blog hop?!  I feel like I’ve just finished putting up my fall decor and now, bam, we’re already hot onto Halloween!  While my porch isn’t Trick-or-Treat ready just yet, I wanted to share with you my past Halloween porches in case you’re looking for some inspiration for you own.

2016

Last year’s porch was by far my favorite.  It’s the most decor I’ve put up for Halloween so the kids definitely loved it.  I go back and forth between wanting to cover the entire front of the house in VW Bug sized spiders to wanting something much more little kid friendly.  Kid friendly won out, and I’m happy it did.  I see myself doing the exact same thing this year.

This cat door on my front door was the inspiration for the whole porch.  I made it after seeing a much smaller wall hanging at Target last year.  Visit my post here for the full tutorial on how to make a cat door hanging for yourself!

2015

This was such a simple porch to pull together.  I just grabbed some dead branches, placed them in planters with some rocks to hold them in place, and tossed moss and birds (both found at a craft store) onto the branches.  How great would this be if you had a bunch of these lining the pathway to the front door?!  Like a little haunted forest!!!  So gonna have to do that one year!

This spooky, but not too spooky, wreath was a DIY.  You can find more info on how I made it here!

2014

I didn’t do anything to our porch that year, but I did toss together a front door decoration 10 minutes before heading out to Trick-or-Treat!  Not the best photo as it was a few years ago from my phone, but it does give you an idea of what you can do if you’re not wanting a traditional Halloween wreath.

Swag some cheese cloth across the door and add a beefy spider for good measure.  Quick and easy!

I have so many fond memories of Trick-or-Treating as a kid.  I still remember some of the super scary houses where the homeowners got dressed in costume as well.  Those were the best!  What were your favorite houses to go up to as a kid?
