It’s still the first week of December, but it feels like I am so behind in sharing with you our Christmas decor!  If you’re on Instagram, check me out  @crazywonderfulblog, I’ve been so much better with sharing quick updates there.

This years’ front porch did not vary much at all from last years’ porch.  And that’s ok because I loved it so much last year.  I’ll break it down for you if you are looking to recreate a similar look for your Christmas porch.  A source list will be at the bottom of the post for you!

Layered Door Mat

I decided to keep my large stripe rug out because I’m still digging the bold stripes.  It’s topped with my DIY painted doormat.  Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to still look this good, but that puppy has been a champ!  Even UPS and pizza delivery drivers have commented on it!!

If you have yet to try the layered doormat look a try, I urge you to!  It adds so much interest to a porch and makes your doormat stand out.  You don’t have to go as large as I did on your base rug.  This just so happened to be a rug I had on hand.  Preferably you’ll want an outdoor rug that is a few inches larger all around from your doormat.

Wreath

Also still going strong is my preserved Big Sur Plumosus Fern wreath from Club Botanic.  Any evergreen wreath will also look beautiful.  If you already have a plain faux wreath on hand, you can stick in some real evergreen clippings and eucalyptus for added interest.  The large metal bells were the same as last year.  They’re currently no longer available, but I found some similar ones here.  You can add those bells to almost any wreath and you’re good to go.  They make such a pretty statement.

Christmas Tree

I was walking into the grocery store the other day and saw the cutest grouping of tabletop trees.  This one came home with me.  I like having a little extra green up on the front porch.  I sat it in a simple metal container for a casual look.

So there you have it.  A simple Christmas porch that you can recreate at home!  Bonus points if you actually leave a pair of snow boots at the door 😛 I will not be leaving mine out seeing as how there is no chance of getting real snow here, but there is a high chance of something crawling inside to live.

Ok, hopefully next week I’ll have my act together to get a Christmas Home Tour post up.  Until then, check out my Instagram for bits of Christmas around the house!
