I really do have an excuse for the lack of interesting posts lately.
I’ve been cleaning out closets and random dumping grounds around the house like a mad woman.
Seeing as how I’m not loosing any weight lately, it’s nice to see that my house is. Admittedly, it doesn’t feel quite as satisfying as fitting into those pre-pregnancy skinny jeans, but it still feels pretty damn good.
And of course the always gonna suck job of packing has begun in the basement.
Why yes. Yes that is a Pink Floyd poster hanging on my basement wall.
Just be glad he got rid of his Robert Smith poster.
I promise to have some photos up of the progress I’m making in the master. Not that it really matters since it will be boxed up soon. But, dang it I WILL have photos of a half-assed in the amount of time I have finished bedroom to remember this house by!!!
Oh, I forgot to tell you that we officially have a place to lay our heads when we get down to Houston! My husband flew down last week and found a house to rent. Can I just say how hard it was for me to let him pick out a house without me there? I’m tensing up thinking about it again. But, I really am cool with it because he was able to score us a 9 month lease. Pretty sweet!
That brings me to another point. Anyone want to buy a house in Wichita, KS??? I know of one for sale 😉

AHHH!!! You're making me nervous…and giving me flashbacks!!! I so feel your pain. I'm dreading this move for us as well and it's only across town this time. It's going to be so awesome in TX once you get all settled in. So excited for you!
You are making some big progress! 9 months sounds like the perfect amount of time to get settled into TX and find a great place. 🙂
Dont forget to mention how awesome your neighbors are! LOL Man, shells these pics are making the move more of a reality. Going to miss you so much!
OMG, it looks like you're moving! Wahhhh – Can you hear me crying. These pictures make it SO real!
I'm with Katherine. Poop. Double poop. Hey @Katherine…roadtrip?
Ah, Shelley, I feel for you, sister. Moving is no fun. Looks like you're making progress though. Great idea to rent before you buy. I can't wait to see what you do to your next house!
