“I want to be a fairy princess”

August 26, 2014

Izzy’s 1st day of Kindergarten arrived yesterday!
I am just so stinking proud of this little (I’ll have hell to pay if she catches me calling her little) grown up BIG girl.  She has blossomed into the coolest thing ever and I’m so blessed to call her mine.  I’m pretty darn excited about her wanting to be a fairy princess when she grows up.  It’s definitely several steps up from last year’s “I want to be a beaver” 😀
I managed to hold my composure as Mike and I walked her to her classroom and got her situated at her desk.  She’s in a fabulous school and I have complete faith in her teacher.  The cherry on the top has to be that she has her very best friend in class with her.  We totally lucked out there!
I’m so excited for you to start this incredible journey, Isabelle!  I know you are going to flourish while making memories that will last you a lifetime.  Mommy and Daddy are beyond proud of you and we love you so very much.  Go get’em baby!!!

She is absolutely adorable. I feel like I almost know her personality through the images – adore the pink converse tennis shoes. What an exciting milestone!!

Oh that picture nearly did me in! Many years ago I sent my little girl ,who could be her twin, off to kindergarten. Looking at that smile that says "Don't worry mom, I will conquer the world" and she did! She now is working on her PHD and is employed by the University if N.C. in Chapel Hill. 🙂 Enjoy every minute of this sweetheart's journey, it flies!
