I got out of the shower today and found this
PER-MA-NENT marker.
I didn’t even know we had one.
You know when you’re too upset to exhale or even make a sound?
Yep. I was there.
Maybe I could just add some frames to it and make it part of the gallery wall…
Looks like I’ll be painting today… again.
You see, not even an hour before this “incident” I was going around the house with my handy-dandy little paint toucher-upper fixing little scuffs.
I guess she thought she was helping me.
Thanks babe.

NewestI heard WD-40 sometimes works…..maybe worth a try?
Also I found this on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/pin/99429974/
Love it! So pleased my little darlings aren't the only ones that do this, the other week they got the TV cabinet, kitchen cabinet and coffee table, gah! Hope you get it off or the paint covers it!
eeee. I know how it feels. I had a permanent marker in our new Tahoe for Etsy mailings and my son climbed in the car one fine afternoon, and took to the tan leather. Luckily, with a lot of elbow grease most of it has come off.
It could be cute if you framed them on your gallery wall like you said!
Have you tried a magic eraser? Honestly, though if you've got the paint, painting over it would be the easiest fix. Don't we just love our kids 🙂
I just choked on my bologny sammich. Magic eraser works like a champ. I know this. She is an artist fo sho. Frame it girl.
Oh dear. We haven't had this happen yet, but I'm sure it will at some point!
Oh my . . . that's awful! My sister told me recently that she got marker off the wall with a baking soda/water paste mixture–but I don't know if it was a permanent marker. Good luck!
Oh my! My son hasn't done this yet. But he did write on the couch. LOL…so a little off subject, but what's your "handy-dandy little paint toucher-upper" that fixes scuffs?
OH MY GOSH! this is bound to happen to me one day SOON!
Been there sister… exhale indeed, because once the fresh paint has dried, you'll be ever so grateful it was paintable walls and not your brand new duvet cover (no fun whatsoever).
I'm feeling your pain. Click here to see what my daughter did with a Sharpie on her antique bedroom furniture:

Happens to the best of us! 🙂
You are hilarious! So glad you saw the humor in this. My then two year old took a sharpie to our new stone fireplace two weeks after we moved into our new house. For the record, my mom was babysitting! Good thing he's a cute kid.
awww…what memories she is making for you! :o) I had just found your site a few days ago and was admiring your gallery wall. I had to LOL when I saw this. Kids…. so precious. <3
Oh my goodness!!!!
I *knock on wood* have not had to deal with this yet (big surprise since I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old) Not sure how I would even handle it if I did! lol @ framing it =)
I've *SO* been there…those are the times when I just *walk AWAY*! That is why my children are alive and well to look adorable and say "Oh, I so sorry, mommy!" (c: Thank freakin' goodness for paint, right? Although I do like the framing idea (c:
Oh no! You poor thing! Cutest thing ever, at least in retrospect :). Nothing a little paint can't fix I hope! Sorry, my kids and I are laughing, but I've definitely been there!

Oh goodness!! your little one is quite an artist! lol! you are such a sweet momma to find humor in this! glad you were able to paint over it easily.
