master bedroom reveal

March 7, 2013

I’ve finished my master bedroom!
You know, just in time to pack it all up and move.  Grrrr…
And, I did get my new bed in a few weeks ago, but decided to wait to put it together until after our move.  Actually, my husband made me promise to wait.  If it was up to me I totally would have schlep that thing up the stairs and put it together myself.  Even if it was just for a few days.  None the less, I’m considering this room done!
Here’s a reminder of where this room started.
And now, with a few easy updates!

And just to let you know, I showed you a photo of my nightstand that exists in my pretend I just got home from a fancy event, don’t need a clock, life.  In real life I’m an asthmatic with chapped lips that keeps a close eye on the baby monitor and clock.  Fancy I tell ya!
I can’t leave you with that image.  Back to my pretend life 😉
{DIY details: curtains, ceiling fan, monogrammed shams coming soon!}

    GIRL! What is with these husbands who think its inappropriate to purchase furniture or rugs and want to get them out when you know you're about to move. I bought two runners like months ago that got put on back order and just finally arrived a few weeks ago. I promised to leave them alone. Last week I got them out and put them down in the hallway. Ooops. M convinced me to pack them right back up. Boo!

    And the space looks great, by the way. I'm a huge fan of all white bedding but I notice your room looks more pulled together with a colored top blanket. True in real life or just in pictures?

    And I LOVE your fake v. real life nightstand. I plan to do the same thing for my ORC reveal.

    It's so interesting how a few tweakings can really change the space. Swapping out your curtains for white, placing art behind the bedside tables instead of over the bed, and changing up your bedding makes your room look so different! Pretty both ways, but your new changes are great. How exciting about the new bed….it'll be like Christmas morning when you move and get to put it up!

    What a beautiful room! It's funny, I always hide my phone when I take pictures of the bakers rack in my kitchen. Love the room – so inviting!

    It looks really pretty. And it's hilarious that you're doing all that right before packing it all up.

    Oh that was so much fun to look at this morning. POSH was the idea that I kept thinking. (Only momentarily overtaken by the "real life" photo! Glad you were keeping it real!!!) Wow, can't wait to see the new bed set up in the new place! Happily following you … jules from bles-id.blogspot
