We all know how hard it can be to find the right color of paint for our house. You bring home a trunk full of samples, but then they all suck once you hold them up. Ugh. I lucked out when I chose the color in this house. I absolutely love it. And, thank God for that because it covers every wall and ceiling in here. The overall feel is white, but against the bright white trim you can tell it’s a light gray.
I’ve included a lot of pictures so you can see how it changes depending on the time of day and amount/type of light it gets. You can click on the titles to visit the rooms for more info and photos.
Paint Colors
The walls and ceilings throughout are PPG (Pittsburgh Paints) Palomino Gray.
Trim is PPG Gypsum (Benjamin Moore’s Simply White is an almost exact match).
White kitchen cabinets and white bathroom vanities are Sherwin Williams Snowbound. I’m sorry, but I don’t know what the black paint color is, but it’s another Sherwin Williams color.
Built-ins and shiplap are Benjamin Moore Simply White.
I just went today got samples of BM Simply White and PPG Palomino Gray for our new house 🙂 Hope it looks at amazing as yours!!
Woohoo!!!!! I can't wait to see what you end up going with!
Your house is insane. Okay? I can't say it enough. And also, I swear I was just poking around here the other day looking for your paint colors, so thank you very much for this post, it's like you read my mind!!! Spooky.
That is ca-razy!!!! Maybe I can start a side gig reading minds ;D Probably won't do very well since I can't even figure out mine most of the time, lol!
I never used to care about these things until I spent a summer working in the paint section of a hardware shop; having to talk to customers about the tiniest differences in paint colours all day makes you pick up on that much more later. The subtle gradient in your paint tones is exquisite, and it really brings the different rooms together.
