You’ve done it!  You’ve made it to the finial house tour!  If you’re just joining, I’m sharing how my style (or lack of) has changed over the years and with each house.  You can catch up by clicking on our first housesecond house, third house, and fourth house.

Our Fifth House – Houston, TX 2014

This is our current home which we built.  It wasn’t a completely custom build, so we have slowly been tweaking things and adding our own touches to it over the past couple of years.  Knowing that we were going to be changing things, we had this house built with a number of builder grade items (cabinets, lighting, bathroom fixtures, etc.) and only upgraded things during the build that made a big impact (hardwood floors, tile, counter tops, adding in hardwired light boxes, etc.).

Since this is our current home there are a lot more photos, and I’ve included links to full room tours and information about items used in each room.

Even in two years these rooms have all changed since we first moved in.  No matter what, it always takes time to figure things out.  And, that’s kind of the fun part anyways.  It’s nice that nothing ever has to be DONE.
I think it’s interesting to see how a lot of the same furniture has been used over the past eleven years.  We are definitely not the type to start fresh with out furnishings when we move.  But, maybe that’s just because we have moved so often.  A few new pieces have been purchased like the chairs in the living room, coffee table, dining table, and bed in the master.  The older pieces get reworked if they’re not falling apart.  Things like making skirts to cover our old nightstand and dining room buffet, painting our dining room chairs and restaining our kitchen table have been a huge cost savings, which makes me feel better about the new purchases we make.
This last photo may make your eyes bleed, but hey, no pain no gain!
Man oh man do I wish I could go back in time and change things 😉

    1. Thank you, Cassie! This home definitely feels the most like me, but that's probably just because it's where I finally figured out what "me" was 😄

  2. Absolutely Love it! Every room flows! Amazing talent and attention to every detail!! ❤️❤️❤️

  3. The use of black and white in this home, especially on the grand staircase, is absolutely stunning. You’ve done a great job of taking a prefab home and making it your own. Make sure to take even more photos so your little girl can remember what the home looked like when she first moved in as these will be precious to her someday.
