I recently showed you guys a photo of the mess that is currently my dining room. Lots of painting has gone down in there.
Here’s what I’m hoping to get started on today. Adding the picture frame molding to the primed bottom half. The top has already been painted the lighter color, I’m just too lazy to walk upstairs and get a photo taken 😉
Here are the inspiration pictures I’m looking at.

I just need to decide the thickness of the molding. Leaning more towards the first picture, but I also like the additional thin piece added along the top of the bottom photo.
Fingers crossed I get this finished by the end of the of the week/weekend. Having all the furniture pushed together is really starting to irk me. Every time I walk by it just screams, “Hey, look at me! You’re still not finished in here!”
So, what are your thoughts on molding – do you like it or think it’s too fussy? I’ll admit I used to think it was too fancy-schmancy for my liking, but like almost everything I used to not like, I’m in love with it lately. Kinda like how I used to swear I would never wear flats. Silly girl 😉

NewestI like the moulding. I think it's more classic than fancy, although it does add a little fancy-ness to a room. But, I really think it should stay white and not a color like some people paint it. One of my family members has painted hers blue. Too me that's almost too much compared to the clean, classic, crisp white you showed in your pictures.
Oh, I can't wait to see it! I'm sure it will look Amazing! I like the bottom picture too…

I like the thin piece of molding added to the top, it extends the top molding making it look bigger. Mom
