Izzy decided on a small slumber party for her upcoming 7th birthday. I was ELATED!!! While I have enjoyed her large birthday parties with several friends and parents, planning can get a little stressful. I’m looking forward to this more laid back party. Even though it’s not going to be extravagant (not that the others were, but you know what I mean) I still want it to be special. She has asked for a Sleeping Beauty theme, so I’m going to go that direction without making it obnoxious.
INVITES: I’m really digging the ease of Paperless Post evites. They have beautiful options at great prices and several that are FREE. Couldn’t be more quick and simple. I chose this one and had it customized and emailed out in just a couple of minutes.
CAKE: I love this sweet cake with a nod to Sleeping Beauty that could really be for any princess party.

You are so right!!! Gonna be a long night.
We used to have to RENT a VCR for our slumber parties. Lol
No Maleficent? I LOVE that movie.
Oh my gosh, yes!!! Izzy has a love/hate relationship with that movie. Always wants to watch it but then has nightmares.
You are such a fun mom. Going to look at those pillow cases now. So fun.
YOU are a fun mom. I bet you'd take Sammy out to TP 😀

I never got to do the sleepover thing when I was that age! It was a cultural thing but man did I wish! Can you BELIEVE how amazing I still turned out?? Don't answer that. Man, all that fun I missed, especially if they were anything like what you have planned for Izzy girl. #willyoubemymom
PS. LOVE your new (to me) headshot over there on your sidebar, gal! Ferosh.
Well that just plain sucks! And yes, total miracle you turned out awesome 😉 Most fond memories from my sleepovers were things like going out and toilet papering houses (why do our conversations revolve around TP lately??), and making up dance routines and recording them while wearing the lovely exercise attire of the 80's. We should totally recreate those!!! I can see the news headline "Two Mom's Caught TP-ing Houses While Wearing Neon Leotards and Leg Warmers"
