This one’s for you Amy! Here’s a little bit of what I’ve been up to lately. Painting, painting, and more painting! I can’t wait to be done! We still have lots of baseboards to rip out and all of the windows to paint, ugh. Yesterday I did manage to whip up a pillow with some leftover fabric and an old down pillow insert. Total cost – $1, spent on the wood button. SCORE! Anywho, here are some before and afters of the stairway and front door, and also my cheapo pillow. I’ll put more up of the rest of the projects another time.

NewestSeriously? You just blew my mind! It looks like a totally different house!! You are the most talented women I've ever met. Oh, and the pillow you "whipped up" – ridiculous! I can't get my jaw to go back up.
I am really most jealous of your clean floors. This looks awesome. If I ever move out of the hood, you are coming to stay for a month…or two…
WOW, what a transformation! You did an amazing job! And you little one is so stinkin adorable!
wow, you have been busy! Love that front door. And your banister project is really making me itch to get busy on our stairs.
Thanks for your comment on my chalk it up post. I sooooo wish we had a hobby lobby near us, but we don't. Nearest one is an hour and a half away.
Have a great week!

What a gorgeous transformation! I love the new look and great job on that pillow! I've read all the way down from today's post to here. I love your little Izzy tales. Too cute! 🙂

So I just found you thanks to DIY showoff and I am so enthralled! I have loved reading about Izzy's life, I have four daughters and never tire of others stories of their princesses. I adore what you are doing around your house, we too have been on a mission to make our house a home and that leads me to my question. Did you paint or stain the hand rail of your staircase? We are currently deciding what to do with ours. I can't tell from the photo. All I know is, it looks fab!
Very nice all.
