I’m on a full blown kick to finally get this house organized. It feels AMAZING. There are so many little spots around the house that I always ignored because they weren’t that bad. But, when I finally took the time to purge and organize those neglected areas, I realized just how much better life could be. Our laundry room has two large floor to ceiling cabinets on the back wall and one small set over the washer and dryer. Those smaller cabinets are what I just tackled and cannot stop staring at. So excited to share with you our new laundry room organization with The Home Edit from Walmart!

Before
Several months ago I had switched out a lot of our cleaners for more all natural cleaners. You can read more about that here. I’m still working on switching over other items, but it takes time and I know I’m already headed in the right direction. However, I still had not gone through and purged all of the old stuff. It’s easy to ignore it when you think you’re still good on space. But, there was so much valuable real estate in there that I didn’t know I was missing out on!
After
YOU GUYS!!!!!! I’ll wait while you scroll back up to the before and then back down to the after.
First things first. Purging the old/unused products makes a huge difference. Knowing what you are keeping gives you a clear path to the type of containers you need and how many. Speaking of containers, when dealing with cabinets that have shelves up high, clear containers are the best bet. You can see what is in those containers without having to pull them down. Once I knew the type and how many containers I needed, I got to work.
The Laundry Edit Set
Here’s what I did. I purchased two of The Laundry Edit sets. Each set was only $24.98 and came with five pieces! Two large stacking bins, two narrow stacking bins, and one turntable. The variety of sizes was perfect for our 10″ deep cabinets. The acrylic was also nice and thick. May seem like a strange thing to comment on, but it makes a huge difference if you’re going to be pulling containers in and out on the regular. The Home Edit knows how to do it and they do it so well!
The large bins are great at containing jugs with handles because they have a cut out notch that allows you to pull the jugs out without having to first remove the acrylic container. I’ve also used one as a catch all for vacuum attachment heads on the top shelf.
The narrow bins are the perfect size for our dusting sleeves, vacuum bags, and anything else you have multiples of that needs their own dedicated bin. And since they stack you can even double up if needed.
Turntables! Turntables are so practical and just plain FUN. These are great for corralling smaller bottles. Nothing gets lost in the back and nothing has to be removed to get to the back since it all rotates.
More Organization Containers + Sets
There are a bunch of other sets and individual items you can pick up from The Home Edit that are exclusive to Walmart. Everyone’s favorite home organizing team combined with Walmart Home’s affordable prices are a match made in Heaven. These items are all sold shipped by Walmart so I was able to order what I wanted online and have it arrive at my doorstep in no time.
And keep in mind that even though the set I purchased was called The Laundry Edit, it can absolutely be used in other areas of your home for multiple purposes. Same with The Kitchen Edit! For instance, the clear riser in the kitchen set would be great for organizing beauty products in a cabinet so you can see what is in the back.

Are you as excited about this as I am?!! I’m over the moon. Tell me, what are you wanting to get organized now?
Where are the water hose connections and are they hidden!
Hi Marie! They are hidden behind the small shelf I built at the back of the table. You can see how I did it in this post: http://crazy-wonderful.com/diy-built-in-washer-dryer/ Or, you can type “built in washer dryer” in the search bar on my page.
Oooh I need to do this- so pretty, Shelley!
I can’t even explain how much happiness this brings me to have it all organized and looking pretty!
