We have had a neutral jute rug in our living room for the last eight years. Check out this post for a refresher. In fact, that’s the only style of living room rug we have ever had. I’ve always thought about doing something different, but I wasn’t sure what would be best in our living space. At times I can be the queen of indecision. I have been a fan of Revival Rugs for quite a while and was thrilled when they reached out to me. I knew this was the perfect opportunity to nudge me in a new rug direction.

My Rug

Are you as in love as I am?!! I cannot stop looking at it! My husband is head over heels in love, and this man doesn’t give his opinion on home decor. Our living space feels entirely new just by switching out the rug.

I chose their Ledger rug in Oat from the Panel Collection. Handmade from 100% undyed wool, this rug is made in a generations-old weaving house in India. The panel style is inspired by nomadic tribes who used small looms to weave panels that were then sewn together to form a larger rug. I cannot get enough of this look! An age old style that feels fresh and modern. It’s a perfect compliment to my more traditional furnishings.

Color and Material

This is a neutral and texture lover’s dream rug. The rug is 100% natural wool in an Afghan, New Zealand, and Sardinian blend. Ledger in Oat is ivory with tan woven throughout the base with charcoal stripes. The variation in color is incredibly beautiful. Since this is a flatweave rug, you can even flip it over should you need to.

You will absolutely need to use a quality rug pad underneath if you intend to use this on a solid surface. I recommend a felt pad with a rubber backing. This gives great cushioning and keeps the rug from sliding around.

See it in Your Room

Revival Rugs has the coolest feature on their site where you can see the rug in your room before ordering. This is perfect for those of us who struggle with visualizing or indecision. You just upload a photo of your room and slide the rug into place. So cool!! As soon as I tried this feature out with their Ledger rug I knew it was the perfect choice for our home!

Bamb❣ This is exactly what this room needed. The jute rug was always a great neutral for this room. But…this rug just gave your living room the personality it needed. This pulls all your more modern pieces into harmony and it looks like the lights were turned on. This color and style enlarged you living room. I can’t wait to see and touch it. They make a beautiful rug. 💗

I love this new rug for your living room! I recently discovered your blog and have spent the past few days devouring your posts! 🙂 Lovely home! On another note, it’s time for a new sofa and I’ve been looking at the York slipcovered sofa for a while now, but can’t quite pull the trigger. Even on sale it’s a chunk of change, so don’t want to have regrets. I’m wondering if I will like the slipcover… or if it’s really needed with the performance fabric? I had a slipcovered sofa years ago (not PB) and it was a bugger to get on after washing. After having yours now for a couple of years, how do you like it? How is the maintenance & wear? Do you like the bench seat? Any advice? Thank you!!

Hi Jackie! My apologies for taking so long to respond to you. This is my second Pottery Barn slipcovered sofa, I loved our first one so much. I never had a problem with our previous slipcover being difficult to take on and off so I’m pretty confident this one will be the same. We have had it for a couple of years and I’ll probably wash it for the first time here before too long. It’s not filthy, but it does get a lot of use since it’s our only sofa (the kids are always on it and our dog constantly rubs his body past it). I love, love, love the bench seat. I was concerned it would look saggy or wear unevenly with one side getting more use than another, but it still looks absolutely perfect. I hope this help with making a decision!
