Back at the first part of May I placed an order I couldn’t have been more excited about. Our new black nightstands for the master bedroom. This was exciting not only because I had been eyeing this particular pair of nightstands for a couple of years, but because we have never purchased nightstands for our bedroom in all of our 16 years of being married. This was a big deal! I waited what felt like forever for them to come in, but it was worth it.

Our Nightstands

I really struggled with searching for nightstands. I knew I wanted black, but the size was an issue due to the placement of our bathroom doors. They needed to be big, but not too big. Traditional, but updated. I wanted storage, but liked an open feel. I found this two drawer nightstand and it was perfect! It has a timeless style and the rubbed black finish is even better in person. It fills the space well and gives us plenty of walking room to pass through to our bathroom.

There are just a couple more things I have planned for our bedroom now that we have our new black nightstands. I still want to make a new bed. Our bedskirt is driving me up the walls and I would prefer an over all more simple look. Another change will be swapping out my lamp shades for an empire style. These current shades are dented and I managed to splatter paint on one of them when repainting the walls. Since I need to replace them I might as well try out a new shape.
